Gunnar Skogsholm - President and Chief Software Architect
Gunnar is a senior software architect, with expertise in custom software development
of business and engineering windows applications.Special
interests include rapid, object oriented C++ development, XML, Business Applications,
and real-time embedded control systems. Gunnar has been writing software since he
was 14 years old.As a college lab assistant,
he created a graphics software package that was used to create a new course on engineering
graphics.He earned his Bachelors of Science
in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Gannon University in 3 ½ years.As
an aircraft generator engineer at Sundstrand Corporation, he designed portions of
a new 3 stage synchronous generator, and as simulation lead, he coordinated the
simulation effort for the Boeing 777 Electric Power Generating System.At
AEG, he designed algorithms to implement moving block algorithms for trains.At General Electric, he designed a generic
control class library, and provided technical leadership to the development team.The class library formed the foundation for
controlling the new GE AC6000 locomotive.At
ARINC, he provided technical leadership for a 2000 requirement custom software project
for Trane.He designed a generic application
framework based, and completed the project on time and under budget.He
served as the VP of development for a small Maryland company and architected a comprehensive
accounting suite for law firms.This work
included the recruitment and management of 15 remote software engineers, extensive
database design, and active participation in design, development, and analysis of
the application software.The project, implemented
in 1.5 years, consisted of 57 C++ windows applications, specified by 5872 requirements.
At Conning Asset Management, he has been working on insurance related actuarial
software using Microsoft's DotNet technologies. Gunnar
created Couloir Software and designed a generic framework utilizing a new XML based
software technology for creating web enabled, SQL based, GUI applications.
